Nestled in the foothills of Macleods Table.
The Black Shed sits in a privileged position within a working croft overlooking Loch Dunvegan on the Island’s Northwest peninsula, Duirinish.
Just four miles from Dunvegan, The Black Shed is the perfect spot to explore the Isle of Skye. Lose yourself in the wild and rugged landscape, visit local artists and artisans, explore historic sites, sample local food and drink, or soak up the island atmosphere. We’re always happy to recommend things to do and see on Skye. But for a little local inspiration, head over to The Dunvegan – Explore Skye page.
Cross the bridge at the Kyle of Lochalsh and follow the A87 to Dunvegan. Just before Dunvegan turn left towards Glendale.
After 2 miles and as you enter Skinidin look up towards Macleod’s Table on the left. We are at the foot of the mountain – Look for the Brunigill Farm sign and take that turning on the left – then follow along the track and up the hill over 2 cattle grids until you reach the Black Shed.
